As a boutique studio, my commitment to you is my time; no stress, only great images that will be loved for a lifetime.  From the beginning of the process, I am here for questions about locations, wardrobe, props, share wedding secretes I have learned over the years, tricks for younger kids or newborns, pets, etc.  I want this to be as stress free as possible and by planning ahead we can ensure a successful session or wedding, full of beautiful imagery.

“ONCE IN A WHILE, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF ORDINARY LIFE, LOVE GIVES US A FAIRYTALE.”

why choose me?

the details

We start with a phone consultation or in person meeting to discuss your wants, needs and desires.  This is where we can get to know each other and discover personal style so that everything from clothing to location is perfectly planned.  For weddings, we discuss timelines so that you can choose the best hours and layout of your big day.

initial meeting

Once you are ready to book, a signed contract and the retainer is received to secure your date.  It is important to note that although this fee is non refundable, it is transferable for portraits if weather or personal issues such as health releated issues arrive.  I also have a satisfaction guaranteed policy for portrait sessions, so if your kiddo has a bad day and the photos do not turn out as you desire, I reshoot for free.  I want it to be as stress free as possible.

ready to book

For portrait session, I help with location and outfits along the way.  I also provide tips to make sure the session is a success.   I have a huge list of locations, this really makes the session.  I want to know your personal style and vision.  I allow for outfit changes, so feel free to bring multiples.

For Weddings, this is when timelines are worked through, if you have a wedding coordinator, I will work closely with them so that we capture all the important moments and move things along smoothly.

prepping for your shoot

My sessions are never rushed and typically last about an hour or so, give or take. The main objection is capturing the real smiles. So you play games, cuddle, explore, but most of all connect and capture these fleeting moments. I want you to look back on these moments and say, I remember that look, that smile, that love.

For Weddings, typically I start with candids of the bride getting ready.  I make sure to capture all the carefully planned details and follow our timeline.

your session day

For portraits, the viewing takes place in person or online about two weeks after our session.  Here you will be able to place orders, start an album design and work to design wall collages.

For weddings, delivery of images takes place around six weeks after the wedding. All images are placed in a personal gallery to share with family and friends.

WHAT IS LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY?

Lifestyle photography is real moments.  Even though we will get some posed shots, mostly I capture true to life moments.  We play games.  We cook.  We create.  We explore.  We laugh.  Cuddle and connect.  My job is to capture the true essence of your love.

WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

I always say, wear what you love and what represents you.  It is ok if you are all in black, but I find it more exciting to blend colors verses matching. There are many samples on pinterest of blending colors, think of the season and location.  I help if you wish.

WHY DON’T YOU RELEASE ALL OF THE PHOTOS YOU TAKE?

With candid photography, I take way more images than you will see.  I remove duplicates or ones where someone has eyes closed.  But don't worry, you will still have many to choose from.

DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?

Yes!  It is important to me that I hand edit all of my images.  I do not batch process. I look at each photo as an opportunity to create art and add creative elements.  AI and outsourcing do not allow for the creativity I desire.

IS STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY AVAILABLE?

Yes, there is an added fee onto the portrait retainer of $50-250 depending on the studio setting you desire, reach out for more details.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

For portraits, they are typically ready in two weeks after our session.  For weddings, six weeks.

WHAT IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE MY APPOINTMENT?

I ask you reach out as soon as possible, I only have a limited number of weekend prime lighting spots. I ask you only reschedule for illness or severe weather.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

The creative fee and retainer is non refundable. So that is lost if the session is not rescheduled.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL I RECEIVE?

For portraits, typically you will be presented with 30-60 images to select from.  For weddings, depending on the hours, 300-600 final images.

WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND THAT I PRINT THROUGH YOU?

Quality to prints matter!  My computer is calibrated through my lab, so the images will be colored correctly.  Plus the ink and paper quality is superior for professional photographers.

WHAT TIME OF DAY SHOULD WE SCHEDULE THE SHOOT?

Have you heard of the Golden Hour?  This is the best time to shoot if possible, this is just after sunrise or an hour before sunset.  The season affects this, so reach out directly for more details.  Young kiddos tend to do best in the morning.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT?

I love it all.  Urban, rural, classic, modern.  I am always scouting new locations.  During our consult, I will learn about your personal taste and present you with several options.
